The Taco Comfort Solutions 433-5 is a 1.5″ Air Scoop designed to remove entrained air from closed-loop hydronic heating systems. By capturing and venting air before it can circulate through the system, this air scoop helps prevent noise, loss of efficiency, and potential pump damage — keeping your hydronic system operating at peak performance.
How It Works
The air scoop uses a low-velocity chamber to slow the flow of system water, allowing entrained air bubbles to rise and collect at the top of the unit. The collected air is then discharged through a standard 1/8″ NPT air vent connection, effectively purging the system of unwanted air pockets.
