Description
The Daikin CMXV_AVJUA is a multi-position ECM variable-speed air handler engineered for ducted residential split systems, built around an all-aluminum evaporator coil and R-32 refrigerant compatibility. Available in multiple tonnages (1–2 Ton) to match the outdoor condensing unit.
The all-aluminum coil eliminates the galvanic and formicary corrosion risks that come with copper-aluminum coil designs, giving it a meaningfully longer service life and lower risk of refrigerant leaks — particularly valuable in high-humidity environments, new construction, or homes with elevated VOC exposure such as attached garages. R-32 refrigerant offers improved heat transfer efficiency over R-410A along with a substantially lower global warming potential, aligning the system with the industry’s ongoing shift away from higher-GWP refrigerants.
The air handler supports four installation orientations for flexible mechanical-room placement: up-flow and horizontal-left are supported out of the box, while down-flow and horizontal-right require a separately purchased Downflow Kit (DFKE-02). This lets contractors fit the unit into attic, basement, closet, or crawl space layouts without field fabrication.
This system requires Daikin ONE+ integration for full smart-thermostat control and diagnostics — confirm compatible thermostat availability before quoting the job. Operates on 208/230V power.
