The Armstrong International 175A4 is a Series A Cast Iron Float & Thermostatic (F&T) Steam Trap engineered for dependable condensate removal and air venting in commercial and industrial steam systems. With a robust cast iron body and a standard 1″ NPT connection, this trap is built to handle demanding steam system conditions with a maximum allowable pressure of 175 PSI.
Float & thermostatic traps combine the continuous discharge capability of a float mechanism with the automatic air-venting function of a thermostatic element. The integrated thermostatic air vent purges non-condensable gases on startup and during operation, preventing air binding and ensuring efficient heat transfer throughout the system. The precision-machined 7/64″ orifice provides consistent, controlled condensate flow matched to typical system loads.
