Description
The ASCO S262SH02N3GJ7 is a 1-1/4 inch, 2-way normally open (NO) pilot-operated gas vent valve used in commercial and industrial gas combustion systems. It is designed to be installed in vent lines or between shut-off valves to safely vent excess gas in certain gas train designs. This valve uses a zero differential piloted diaphragm to provide stable operation and positive on/off control. It is rated for 120 V AC at 60 Hz, with a maximum operating pressure up to about 25 psi, a flow coefficient (Cv) around 34, and a nominal capacity of more than 1.7 million BTU/hr, making it suitable for moderate- to high-capacity systems. The body is aluminum with NBR seals and includes pipe tap ports for routine maintenance and testing. Typical ambient service ranges from approximately -20 °F up to 170 °F.
Key Features
- Valve is 2-way normally open (NO) — gas flows when de-energized and closes when energized, commonly used for venting.
- Pilot-operated, zero differential diaphragm design for stable actuation.
- Operates on 120 V AC at 60 Hz.
- 1-1/4 inch threaded NPT connections.
- Aluminum body with NBR seals and stainless components.
- Flow coefficient (Cv) ~34 with nominal capacity around 1,710,000 to 1,940,000 BTU/hr depending on rating.
- Includes pipe tap ports with plugs for maintenance testing.
- Rated for up to 25 psi differential pressure.
- Suitable for industrial vent line applications and combustion control systems.
