Carrier P908-0001 Condensate Neutralizing Kit

Description

The Carrier P908-0001 Condensate Neutralizing Kit is an OEM solution designed to treat the highly acidic condensate produced by high-efficiency condensing furnaces, boilers, and other condensing HVAC equipment. As modern high-efficiency systems extract more heat from combustion gases, the resulting condensate can have a very low pH that may corrode metal drain lines and damage municipal sewer systems. This kit neutralizes that acidic condensate before it enters the drain, protecting your plumbing infrastructure and helping meet local code requirements.

Key Features

• OEM Carrier replacement part — ensures proper fit and performance
• Neutralizes acidic condensate from high-efficiency condensing equipment
• Helps protect metal drain lines and plumbing from corrosive damage
• Supports compliance with local plumbing and environmental codes
• Suitable for use with condensing furnaces, boilers, and combination systems
• Easy to install and service

Why Condensate Neutralization Matters

High-efficiency condensing equipment produces condensate with a pH that can be as low as 2–4, similar in acidity to vinegar or lemon juice. Left untreated, this acidic water can corrode cast iron and copper drain lines, damage septic systems, and violate local discharge regulations. The Carrier P908-0001 kit uses a neutralizing media to raise the pH of condensate to an acceptable level before it exits the system.

Application

• High-efficiency condensing gas furnaces
• Condensing boilers
• Combination heating and cooling systems producing acidic condensate
