Description
The Lennox 60L03 is a factory-specified pressure switch engineered for reliable draft and combustion airflow monitoring in Lennox heating systems. Designed as a direct OEM replacement, this switch helps ensure your furnace operates safely by verifying proper inducer operation before allowing ignition to proceed.
Key Features
- Set point: 0.80″ water column (“wc)
- SPST (Single-Pole, Single-Throw) switching action
- 1/4″ barb port connection for secure hose attachment
- Direct OEM replacement for compatible Lennox furnace models
- Monitors inducer draft to protect against unsafe combustion conditions
- Helps prevent furnace operation in the event of blocked flue or failed inducer
How It Works
The pressure switch senses negative pressure (draft) created by the inducer blower. When the inducer establishes the correct airflow, the switch closes, signaling the control board to continue the ignition sequence. If proper draft is not achieved — due to a blocked vent, failed inducer motor, or cracked hose — the switch remains open and locks out the furnace, protecting against dangerous conditions such as flue gas spillage.
Application
- Designed for use in Lennox gas furnaces requiring a 0.80″wc pressure switch
- Suitable for residential heating applications
- Replaces worn, cracked, or failed OEM pressure switches
Installation Notes
Always verify the set point and port configuration against the original switch before installation. Inspect the rubber hose connecting the switch to the inducer housing for cracks or blockages, as a damaged hose is a common cause of pressure switch failure. Consult the furnace wiring diagram and service manual for proper wiring and mounting procedures.
