Description

The Nu-Calgon iWave-M is a highly versatile, compact air-ionization system engineered to enhance indoor air quality for ductless, mini-split, VRF, PTAC and other constrained-space HVAC applications.

Featuring a flexible ion-generating bar, the iWave-M emits both positive and negative ions (approximately 35 million ions/cc per linear foot) to treat airborne contaminants — including certain bacteria and viruses — as well as smoke, cooking & pet odors, static electricity, and particulate “sunbeams”.

Designed for efficient installation and long-term performance, the system requires no bulbs or replacement parts, supports universal input voltage from 110 VAC to 240 VAC, and is validated to meet UL 867 zero-ozone emission standards. Its flexible circuit bar can be field-trimmed or folded and uses hook-and-loop fastening, making it ideal for compact indoor evaporator coil arrays typical in ductless systems.

Features:
  • Flexible ion-generating bar suitable for HVAC coils up to approx. 1,600 CFM.
  • Generates approx. 35 million ions/cc per foot to actively treat air stream and surfaces.
  • Universal multi-voltage input: 110 VAC-240 VAC for broad HVAC compatibility.
  • No ongoing maintenance: no replacement parts or bulbs required.
  • Meets UL 867 zero-ozone emission certification — safe for indoor installation.
  • Compact and flexible for installation in tight spaces (mini-splits, VRF indoor units, PTACs, etc.).
Applications:
  • Ductless HVAC systems (mini-split wall-cassettes, VRF indoor heads, PTAC units) where space constraints make traditional IAQ hardware difficult.
  • Residential & light-commercial environments facing indoor air quality issues such as cooking odors, pets, smoke, static or microbial growth on coils.
  • HVAC professionals offering IAQ upgrade packages or retrofit solutions with minimal installation and maintenance.
  • System owners seeking a «set-and-forget» solution to keep coils cleaner, reduce micro-growth, and enhance air quality without frequent service calls.
