Description

The Nu-Calgon iWave-R Residential Air Ionization System is a cutting-edge, needle-point bi-polar ionization generator designed to actively treat indoor air and surfaces in residential ducted HVAC systems—up to 6 tons (2,400 CFM). With a universal multi-voltage input (24-240 VAC), it installs quickly and easily in minutes, making it an excellent choice for homeowners, HVAC professionals, and IAQ upgrade programs.

By generating positive and negative ions, the iWave-R helps reduce certain bacteria and viruses on coils and in the living space, controls odors (cooking fumes, pet smells, VOCs), mitigates smoke and static particles, and prevents the “sun-beam” effect by reducing particulate matter. Its patented self-cleaning brush design ensures consistent performance with minimal maintenance—no ongoing routine tasks or bulb replacements required.

Designed for versatility, the iWave-R features universal mounting (magnetic or screw), and can be placed either before or after the coil depending on your primary IAQ goal. It is validated to meet UL 867 ozone emission requirements, giving added confidence in its safe performance.

Features:
  • +/- Ion generation: over 160 million ions/cc per polarity (320 million ions/cc total) — high output, superior performance.
  • Multi-voltage input: 24 VAC to 240 VAC — supports wide range of residential HVAC systems.
  • Self-cleaning emitter brushes: Programmable every 1, 3, 5 or 10 days — ensures optimal performance.
  • Easy installation: Universal mounting (magnets included) allows fast, flexible setup in the air-handler or duct.
  • Maintenance-free: No bulbs to replace, no filters to clean—ideal for homeowners and service contractors.
  • Up to 6 tons (2,400 CFM) capacity: Suitable for typical residential ducted systems.
  • UL 867 validated for ozone emission & safety — meets stringent indoor air quality standards.
Applications:
  • Residential HVAC systems looking for enhanced air-quality solutions
  • Homes with pets, cooking odors, smokers or sensitive occupants
  • Service contractors offering IAQ upgrade packages
  • Homeowners seeking a low-maintenance, high-impact improvement to indoor air
