Description

BACnet/IP gateway that publishes Q-Controller gas readings and status to a building automation system

The QEL BAC-BOX-0 lets your Q-Controller “speak” the same language as your building automation system. It takes gas readings, alarm states, and relay outputs from the Q-Controller and makes them available as standard BACnet/IP points, so your BAS can monitor and control ventilation right alongside HVAC, lighting, and other building systems.

Acting as a translator between the Q-Controller network and the BACnet/IP network, the BAC-BOX turns gas concentrations, switch positions, and relay states into individual BACnet objects that your BAS can read, trend, and alarm on.

With support for hundreds of points, it’s sized for large garages, plants, and multi-zone facilities where you want everything visible from a single BAS front end instead of juggling separate gas-monitoring software.

Key Features & Benefits

Seamless BAS Integration

Publishes Q-Controller gas levels, switch states, and relay outputs as BACnet/IP points, so your building automation system can see and act on them like any other BACnet device.

Plenty of Points for Big Projects

Supports up to 192 analog input objects, 32 analog output objects, 16 binary input objects, and 64 binary output objects—enough for a full Q-Controller gas system with lots of zones and equipment.

Uses the Standard BACnet/IP Protocol

Connects over BACnet/IP (Annex J), the widely used open protocol for building automation, making it easier to tie into most modern BAS platforms without custom drivers.

Straightforward Installation

Compact enclosure, 24 VAC/DC power requirement, and a single Ethernet connection for BACnet/IP keep panel layout simple and help speed up commissioning.

Unified Monitoring and Alarms

By exposing gas readings and relay status to the BAS, you can centralize alarms, trending, and ventilation control on one screen, helping operators respond faster and reduce the need to learn separate software systems.
