Description
The UEi C161 Residential Combustion Analyzer is a professional-grade combustion testing instrument built for HVAC technicians servicing gas-fired furnaces, boilers, water heaters, and other residential and light-commercial heating appliances. It simultaneously measures carbon monoxide (CO), oxygen (O₂), carbon dioxide (CO₂), flue gas temperature, inlet air temperature, and calculated combustion efficiency — giving you everything needed to verify safe, efficient operation of any gas appliance on a single screen.
The C161 is backed by UEi Service+, which provides up to 10 years of warranty coverage with same-day guaranteed annual recertification, significantly reducing the long-term cost of keeping a calibrated combustion analyzer in service.
Heat Exchanger Test (HET)
The built-in heat exchanger test helps identify cracked or failing heat exchangers — one of the most critical safety checks in residential HVAC service. By monitoring combustion gas behavior as the blower cycles, the C161 flags suspected failures before they become CO hazards.

Automatically adjusts combustion efficiency readings for altitude — essential for techs working in high-elevation markets.
Data Logging & IR Printing
Stores up to 30 readings in memory. Prints combustion reports wirelessly to the optional IRP-2 infrared printer for on-site customer documentation.
