The USI Hardwired Smoke Alarm with 10-Year Battery Backup combines hardwired power with a sealed 10-year backup battery, eliminating the need for annual battery replacement and the low-battery chirps that come with it. Equipped with Sensing Plus Multi-Criteria Detection, this photoelectric alarm is designed to identify both slow-burning and fast-flaming fires for early detection and a fast response. The alarm interconnects with other compatible hardwired alarms throughout the home, so when one unit sounds, all connected alarms sound together for comprehensive coverage. A built-in voice alert clearly distinguishes between fire alerts and battery/replacement reminders, so occupants know exactly what’s happening without guessing at chirp patterns. Advanced sensing technology is designed to reduce nuisance alarms from everyday activities like cooking, and a test/silence button allows for easy manual silencing if a false alarm occurs. At the end of the battery’s 10-year life, the alarm provides a single end-of-life alert as a reminder to replace the unit. The alarm is ETL listed to UL 217 safety standards and backed by a 10-year limited warranty.
