Description
The York S1-024-34561-000 is an OEM replacement dual pressure switch designed for use in York gas furnaces and air handlers. Calibrated to precise setpoints of .95″ WC (close) and .4″ WC (open), this pressure switch monitors the negative pressure generated by the inducer motor to verify proper draft and venting conditions before allowing the ignition sequence to proceed — a critical safety function in any induced-draft or condensing furnace application.
How It Works
The pressure switch senses the pressure differential created by the draft inducer blower. If the inducer fails to establish adequate airflow, the switch remains open, preventing the gas valve from energizing and protecting against unsafe combustion conditions. Dual setpoints allow the switch to monitor both stages of operation with accuracy.
Key Features
- OEM York replacement part — direct fit for compatible York furnace models
- Dual pressure setpoints: .95″ WC (close) / .4″ WC (open)
- Monitors inducer draft pressure for safe ignition sequencing
- Prevents gas valve operation under inadequate draft conditions

Why Replace Your Pressure Switch?
A faulty pressure switch is one of the most common causes of furnace no-heat calls. Symptoms include the inducer running but the furnace failing to light, error codes related to pressure switch faults, or nuisance lockouts. Replacing with the correct OEM part ensures proper calibration and reliable performance season after season.
