Description
The S1-025-38950-000 is an OEM flame sensor assembly (with 34" lead) designed for use in gas-fired furnaces and HVAC units manufactured by York or compatible with York controls. Its primary function is to detect the presence of a stable burner flame after ignition. If the flame fails (or does not ignite properly), the sensor signals the control board to shut off the gas valve — thereby preventing unburned gas from building up, reducing risk of gas leaks or unsafe combustion.
