Description
The RedLINK Internet Gateway (Honeywell/Resideo part THM6000R7001) brings every RedLINK thermostat online so you can adjust temps from anywhere. It lets you check and change the temperature at home from anywhere you have an internet connection. Simply plug the gateway into your home-network router, link it to any RedLINK-enabled thermostat, and use Honeywell’s free Total Connect Comfort app or web portal to see or adjust settings in real time.
Key Features & Benefits
Remote thermostat access
View indoor and outdoor temperatures, change set-points, or switch modes from a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
Host-Count & Zoning Capacity
One gateway can “host” up to four RedLINK thermostats or zone panels at the same address—enough for most single-family homes or a small zone system.
Group scheduling
Create one schedule and push it to every RedLINK thermostat in the house or small business—no walking from room to room.
Contractor portal support
Gives your HVAC pro secure, permission-based access for remote diagnostics and setting tweaks, saving a service visit when possible.
Quick, plug-and-play setup
Connect the included Ethernet cable and power adapter, press the Connect button on the thermostat, and you’re online in minutes.
Works with the entire RedLINK family
Compatible with Prestige IAQ, VisionPRO 8000, FocusPRO, Wireless FocusPRO, and other RedLINK accessories (wireless outdoor sensor, indoor sensor, etc.).

FAQs
How many thermostats can one gateway handle?
Up to 4 “hosts” (thermostats, zone panels, or EIMs).
Can the gateway use Wi-Fi instead of Ethernet?
No—wired Ethernet only. If the router’s far away, use a powerline adapter or run a patch.
Which thermostats are compatible?
Any RedLINK model. Wi-Fi T-series stats don’t need—or work with—the gateway.
What do the diagnostic lights mean?
Internet LED
- Red = no cable
- Amber = DHCP/IP in progress
- Green = online
RedLINK LED
- Flashing Green = pairing
- Solid Green = linked
- Red = lost RF link between gateway and thermostats; the devices are out-of-range or powered down.
Will local thermostat control still work if my Internet is down?
If it drops, the thermostats keep running their own schedules, but the app and contractor portal can’t reach them until the link is re-established.
What’s the typical RF range?
Mounting the gateway roughly central to the thermostats (and away from large metal objects or concrete walls) gives the best chance of a solid, green RF LED. If you can’t get a stable RF link, adding a second gateway or relocating the first often solves the problem.
Does the gateway expose my home network?
Traffic is encrypted; the unit pings Resideo servers every 5 s and won’t accept inbound connections—only outbound, firewall-friendly HTTPS.
Quick Setup Guide
- Power. Plug in the included power adapter. POWER LED solid green = powered.
- Network. Patch the Ethernet cable from the gateway to an open router/switch port. INTERNET LED: red→amber→green as it gets an IP.
- Thermostat: Wireless/Add Device. From the RedLINK stat menu (Prestige/VisionPRO: Installer Options > Wireless Setup), start add-device mode.
- Press CONNECT on the gateway. REDLINK LED flashes while pairing; solid green = linked (usually 10 seconds).
- Register for remote access. Go to mytotalconnectcomfort.com, create account, and enter the MAC ID / CRC from the gateway label.
Local thermostat control continues even if Internet is lost; remote/app access resumes when connectivity returns.
