Description
The Carrier 010-070022-000 Thermal Expansion Valve (TXV) is an OEM-quality replacement component engineered to maintain precise refrigerant metering in Carrier HVAC and refrigeration systems. By accurately regulating the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator coil, this valve helps optimize system efficiency, protect the compressor from liquid slugging, and ensure consistent cooling performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
Key Features
- OEM Carrier replacement thermal expansion valve (TXV)
- Precisely meters refrigerant flow into the evaporator coil
- Helps maintain optimal superheat for maximum system efficiency
- Protects the compressor by preventing liquid refrigerant carryover
- Designed for direct fit and compatibility with applicable Carrier equipment
- Supports reliable, long-term system operation
Why Replace Your TXV?
A failing or failed thermal expansion valve can cause a range of system issues including poor cooling capacity, high or low superheat readings, compressor damage, and increased energy consumption. Replacing the TXV with a genuine Carrier part restores proper refrigerant metering and helps return the system to peak performance.
Application
- Designed as a direct OEM replacement for compatible Carrier systems
- Suitable for use by qualified HVAC/R technicians
- Verify equipment compatibility using the Carrier part number 010-070022-000 before installation
Installation Notes
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC/R technician. Always recover refrigerant in accordance with EPA Section 608 regulations prior to replacing any refrigeration system component. Refer to the original equipment manufacturer’s service documentation for torque specifications, refrigerant type, and system charging procedures.
