The QEL Q5-CH4-100L-0-A is a smart methane / natural gas detector that helps you catch leaks early and automatically respond before they become dangerous. It continuously measures combustible gas from 0–100% of the lower explosive limit (LEL) and turns those readings into simple outputs your fans, alarms, and building systems can use.
A backlit LCD shows real-time gas levels, while LEDs and an internal buzzer make local alarms hard to miss. Three onboard relays can directly start exhaust fans, shut down equipment, or trigger remote horns and strobes when gas reaches your chosen setpoints so you don’t need a separate relay panel for basic control.
The Q5-CH4 uses a catalytic bead sensor in a rugged NEMA 4X enclosure, designed for harsh mechanical spaces, CNG vehicle bays, boiler rooms, and other areas where combustible gas may be present. Standard 24 VAC/VDC power, 4–20 mA / voltage outputs, and RS-485 Modbus make it easy to tie into existing controls or a gas controller, while field-replaceable sensor modules support long-term maintenance.
