The Spirax-Sarco 64159 B1H-15 is a 3/4″ inverted bucket steam trap rated for 15 PSI (15#) maximum operating pressure. Designed for reliable, continuous condensate drainage in low-pressure steam systems, this trap leverages the proven inverted bucket operating principle to deliver energy-efficient, long-lasting performance in commercial and industrial HVAC and process applications.
How It Works
The inverted bucket mechanism operates on the difference in density between steam and condensate. When steam enters the trap, the inverted bucket floats and closes the discharge valve, preventing live steam loss. As condensate accumulates, the bucket sinks and opens the valve, discharging condensate efficiently. A small vent hole in the top of the bucket allows non-condensable gases to be purged continuously, preventing air binding.
