Engineered for easy installation, these valves don’t require disassembly, allowing for quick setup without compromising functionality. Each model is built with durable materials that ensure reliable, long-term performance under a variety of operating conditions. Our zone valves help you achieve precise temperature control, improve energy efficiency, and maintain a comfortable indoor environment year-round. Ideal for integration into modern hydronic systems, our zone valves make regulating hot water flow simple, efficient, and effective.
How to Choose the Right Zone Valve
Zone valves make hydronic heating systems flexible, efficient, and easy to control. Whether you're zoning by room, floor, or radiant loop, the right valve ensures consistent performance and simplifies service.
Valve Type
Choose 2-way (on/off) valves to open or close a loop, or 3-way diverting valves for mixing, bypass, or rerouting flow between two branches.
Voltage
Select the correct actuator voltage: most residential systems use 24 VAC, while line-voltage models are ideal for retrofits or legacy systems.
Valve Action
Pick between normally closed (NC) or normally open (NO) valves depending on your control strategy and fail-safe preferences.
Connection Type
Match your piping layout with sweat, threaded (NPT), or press connections.
Flow Capacity (Cv)
Size the valve correctly to ensure proper flow rate and minimal system restriction.
Additional Features
- End switches allow your zone valve to control a circulator or boiler start-up.
- Manual levers speed up system purge/fill operations.
- Replaceable powerheads let you service the actuator without opening the piping system.
Popular Zone Valve Categories & Models
Core 2-Way, 24 VAC Zone Valves (Most Residential Loops)
Honeywell V8043 Series: Compact, normally-closed 2-way zone valves with sweat or NPT connections. Many models include a manual opener and end switch for control integration.
Examples:
- V8043E1061: ¾″ sweat, NC
- V8043F1036: ¾″ sweat, 125 PSI
- V8043A1227: ½″ NPT, NC
3-Way Diverting Valves (Mix/Bypass, Radiant Applications)
Honeywell V8044A Series: Designed for applications requiring supply flow to be diverted or mixed for temperature control or heat source protection.
Example:
- V8044A1044: ¾″ sweat, 3-way diverting
Quick-Install Press & Threaded Valves
Taco Zone Sentry® — Energy-efficient, low-power actuators with threaded or press-fit ends. Compact and service-friendly, ideal for fast retrofits.
Examples:
Line Voltage & Simple Two-Wire Valves
Ideal for legacy systems or basic enable/disable zone control.
Examples:
- Honeywell V4043B1018: ½″ sweat, line voltage
- White-Rodgers 1361-102: ¾″ sweat, two-wire
Maintenance & Control Accessories
Powerheads & Actuators
Replace just the operator, not the entire valve body.
