Description
If the board you’re changing out is a Trane CNT03076, CNT03798, CNT05164, CNT05165, or one of the matching D341213P01 / D341396P0x boards, this 50A65-5165 kit is designed as a direct OEM-style replacement. Move each wire to the same-labeled terminal without rewiring the whole furnace.
It also swaps one-for-one for the older White-Rodgers 50A65-474, -475, -476, and 50A65-5165 boards.
This control is built specifically for Trane single-stage furnaces that use an 80V hot-surface ignitor. The same style is used on many XR80 and TUE/TUH models.
It’s not meant to convert a furnace from spark or 120V HSI to 80V HSI, and it’s not a 2-stage control. Stick to single-stage Trane/American Standard furnaces that already use one of the listed 80V HSI boards for a proper, manufacturer-style replacement.
Key Features & Benefits
Microprocessor Control
Continuously monitors burner, inducer, blower, thermostat, and flame sensor to manage ignition, flame proving, and shutdown helping protect the furnace.
Fault Handling and Automatic Retry
Includes system fault analysis that shuts gas off quickly on a problem, then automatically retries ignition when conditions are corrected, reducing no-heat calls from temporary issues.
Extra 120V Outputs for Accessories
Provides dedicated 120V terminals for a humidifier, electronic air cleaner, and 2-speed PSC blower, making it easy to add or support comfort accessories without extra relays.
LED Diagnostics
A furnace status LED reports system operation and fault codes, for easy diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Adjustable Fan-Off Delay
Heat fan OFF delay is set with DIP switches, so you can fine-tune how long the blower runs after a heat call improving comfort and squeezing more heat out of the furnace without wasting energy.
Complete “Easy-Install” Kit
Sold as an integrated furnace control kit that includes the ignition control module plus installation instructions and OEM cross-reference for fast and accurate replacement.

Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this kit include any harnesses, standoffs, or extra hardware I should plan for?
- It’s a lean kit. The box includes the ignition control module plus the installation instructions & OEM cross-reference. No adapter harnesses, brackets, or standoff hardware are included.
- Do I need to order a separate 80 V ignitor or other accessories, or can I reuse the existing components on this furnace?
- This control requires an 80 VAC hot-surface ignitor. Use your existing 80 V HSI if it works or order the correct 80 V replacement. Do not use a 120 V ignitor with this board. (Board drives valve/inducer/blower directly. No other accessories are required.)
- Are the mounting holes and footprint close enough to the original Trane/White-Rodgers board that I can reuse the existing panel or bracket?
- Yes, this is a surface-mount board that works in any furnace position/orientation. It mounts on standoffs and reuses the cabinet space like the OEM (dimensions ≈ 5.9 H × 4.4 W × 1.25 D in). Verify standoff locations in your furnace and relocate if needed.
